As 2024 was wrapping up and we doubled down on the dark reality that we went hurtling into in 2016, I needed distractions. I naturally turned to photography looking for something that would just bring a smile to my face.

That’s when I decided to venture into the garage and find the action figures I loved as a child. Having a bit of a history photographing dolls, it seemed obvious to take these vintage figures and see what happened when I put them in front of the camera.

It was fun. So much so that I started searching for more figures online. At first just the vintage stuff. Soon, though, I was buying all sorts of new action figures to put in front of the camera.
